The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

Penn State has and will always have a special place in our hearts. In 2003 Rob and I met while working at The Daily Collegian, and started dating our last semester of our senior year. Summer came and Rob was heading to Jacksonville, FL to start law school. A week after he moved, I moved to Ocala, FL and worked as a reporter for The Villages Daily Sun. I soon moved to Jacksonville and worked as a reporter/editor for The Financial News & Daily Record. As Rob was preparing to finish law school, in April 2007 Rob surprised me and proposed to me on the beach in Jacksonville. On June 28, 2008 we were married in Jacksonville with about 100 of our family and friends in attendance. We moved into a new house we had built and began our lives together ... and of course there is a Penn State room! Each year we make sure we get back to Happy Valley for a game and for the Annual Tailgate with our family and friends. We visit our favorite bars and reminisce about our days at PSU. When we all see each other again, it's like we never left. Penn State has given us so much already, it's hard to think of where we'd be and what we'd be doing if Penn State wasn't such a big part of our lives. From growing up a PSU fan to graduation day and beyond, Penn State has provided us with so much to be thankful for: A family full of Penn Staters, great friends, and lasting memories!
